Children's Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School is held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings from September through May.   Children will enjoy puppets and songs in the youth room before classes begin.  In class, children will learn Bible stories from the Growing in Christ series. Kathryn Norton and Jodi Nafzger share the Preschool-K teaching, with help from Sage Swanson. Traci Johnson teaches grades 1 and 2. Toby Norton teaches grades 3, 4, and 5 with help from Mike Spencer. All children are welcome, and other parents are welcome to help out.

 

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Every summer, Beautiful Savior hosts a Vacation Bible School.  In 2010, children will enjoy the camp led by counselors from Camp Perkins. Contact Leah Steinbronn at dce@bslcboise.org or 367-1432 if you have any questions about VBS. 

 

 

“Unshaken” Day Camp Starts June 27

Once again we’ll be using Camp Perkins’ Day Camp for our VBS program. This year’s theme is “Unshaken,” based on Isaiah 54:10. Plan on joining us from 6–8:30 p.m. June 27–July 1. Our church contacts are Meghan Allen and Sami Johnson.  VBS is free, and open to preschool through sixth grade children. Children need to preregister for this event. In five evenings, we will learn about Jesus while playing games, making crafts, singing songs, and learning Bible stories.

Volunteers, please sign up on the bulletin board. We need adult leaders, youth leaders (age 13-15), snacks, a photographer, a preschool teacher, a preschool helper, and a host home for Camp Perkins camp leaders.

Those who can’t make it to the BSLC VBS this year can attend VBS at another local LCMS church. Children can enjoy VBS at: Christ Meridian (June 14–17); Good Shepherd (June 23–24). Friendship Celebration (July 6–8) and Our Savior Lutheran in McCall (July 20–24).
