Five youths from Beautiful Savior joined other Idaho junior high students for a fun-filled weekend at Camp Perkins. The campers rode a shuttle equipped with tracks and skis through the snow covered landscape for outdoor fun, good food and Bible study.
Outdoor highlights were tubing down the large hill, playing broom ball on the frozen lake, cross-country skiing, having snowball fights and night-tubing down a hand-dug luge track.
The time spent in Bible study included singing, games, and small group discussion. The lessons were focused on how special and unique each person is, how well God knows each one individually, and that He is always there. A favorite Bible reading was:
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
SnowJam campers warmed up with hot cocoa or tea and played indoor games including Crazy Eights, Jenga and Hide and Seek.
Spending time together in Bible study and in the beautiful winter wonderland that God created brought friends together, helped make new friends, and reminded us all how special we are to our Creator.
