HOP Day 2024
Saturday November 2ND
We invite you to join together with fellow members and friends in service to our community on our Fall HOP (Help Other People) Day. Activities will include helping neighbors & friends with outdoor chores, assembling craft kits for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, shopping for Christmas gifts for JEMFriends, helping with yard work at Zoo Boise, sewing bibs for the new infant rooms at Beginning Years Child Care Center, and more.
To be a part of HOP Day, request some help with your outdoor chores or volunteer to be a helper. Please sign up by October 20th by visiting or calling the BSLC Office.
Schedule
8:30 AM – LIGHT BREAKFAST
Gather at church for a light breakfast of muffins, fruit, coffee & juice, then join your volunteer team
9:00 AM – SERVICE PROJECTS
- Help neighbors with yard work and outdoor chores such as raking, window washing & gutter cleaning
- Assemble Craft Kits for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital
- Christmas gift shopping for JEMFriends
- Sewing bibs for infant rooms at Beginning Years Child Care Center
- Helping with yard work at Zoo Boise
- Making and delivering care packages for assisted living residents & homebound
- Writing cards for Veterans
NOON – LUNCH & WRAP-UP
Gather at church for lunch and to visit about your morning of service to our community.

- ASK FOR SOME HELP with outdoor chores for yourself or someone you know.
- VOLUNTEER TO HELP OTHERS on HOP Day. Guests are welcome to help!
